Treverton Retreat

I stayed at Ali’s place for a 2-day trip to Toronto, and honestly, if you’re traveling on a budget, I think it’s a great option. If you don’t want to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on a hotel in the city when you’re mostly out exploring and only need a place to sleep at night, Ali’s place is worth considering. It’s not too far from Kennedy Station, and Toronto’s public transit system is amazing. From there, it was easy to get around to the tourist spots and come back at night. You can walk from Kennedy Station, take a connecting bus, or use Uber. Personally, I enjoyed taking the buses, streetcars, and trains—it was actually part of the fun of my Toronto trip! The bathroom is shared, and there are other guests staying at the place, so you have to be comfortable with that. Every morning, Ali makes sure the place is clean and maintained. There’s also a kitchen with complete appliances if you want to cook. I saw other guests preparing their own meals, so having that option is definitely convenient. At night, the place is quiet, which I really appreciated after a full day of walking and exploring. It was nice to come back, rest, and recharge for the next day’s adventure. I would recommend Ali’s place especially for travelers who are practical, budget-conscious, and not looking for a fancy hotel experience. If you’re the type of traveler who spends most of the day exploring and just needs a clean, quiet, affordable place to sleep, this is a good fit. Overall, I had a great experience staying at Ali’s place. Ali was also very flexible and accommodating with what I needed during my stay. For a short Toronto trip on a budget, I’m happy with my choice!

Maybe just a hair dryer! 😂 There is a fan, but it wasn’t quite enough to dry my hair. Other than that, no complaints!

I didn’t dislike anything about the property. Much better than staying in a hotel.

Ali was such a great manager throughout our stay. We arrived quite late, around 2 AM, and he was still awake and ready to help us get into the property without any hassle. He went above and beyond, helping us with every little thing we needed. His warmth and support made our stay so much easier and more comfortable.
