Very functional small apartment with stunning views from bedroom, kitchen and the fantastic large private rooftop terrace. Very basic amenities, particularly in the kitchen. In spite of one of the sliding doors not locking properly, I felt safe since only the property and one neighbor on the sixth floor have the keys to the door providing access to the 7th floor rooftop. The flat is only a couple of metro stops from all key sites. If you are looking to experience “real” Athens and not just the touristy areas, this flat may be for you. I was happy here because I was in Athens for work and was close to everywhere I needed to go. Prices were also a bit lower than in the touristy areas.

Without a doubt what keeps me from giving this apartment a higher rating is the shady neighborhood around it. During the day things are fine in this largely Arabic-speaking immigrant-populated neighborhood but after dark one must be very careful to avoid the heroin-addicts, drug dealers in Βικτόρια square, and especially the area one street away on Φυλής street, which is one of Athens three main concentrations of brothels, with all the drunkenness and drugs that entails.
