Riad Dar Loulou

The location was very central and extremely walkable. I didn't pay for a cab the entire time I was there. The fish market, restaurants, cafes, shops, and the beach are all walking distance for any able bodied person. It's in the old medina so at night it was pretty quiet, just noise from the neighbors. The room, shower and bathroom were clean. I didn't use it but the shared kitchen space also appeared clean. It is a very aesthetic property featuring bright tiles and cool architectural features inside. The brass sinks and beautiful lamps add to the vibe. The price was very reasonable and the wifi worked well.

This property is difficult to find, so give the host an exact arrival time so that they can meet you. It's down an ally and then through an unsuspecting door and up several flights of stairs. Again, extremely manageable but no signage is there. The property is a little bare bones, only one bath towel and hand soap provided, there was toilet paper in the bathroom. The kitchen appeared to have some basic glassware but again I didn't use it. No hotel amenities (no hairdryer, no hand towels, no soap/conditioner) so just manage your expectations and keep the price in mind. The toilet is in the hallway and shared by 3 rooms. I also did not appreciate that the only communication I got from the host was regarding having some work men in my room to install a privacy curtain over a window. I did not request this and had to wait 45 mins for them to finish before I could shower or do anything. I asked for a late check out because my evening was delayed by their delay and got no response.

La chambre était très agréable, l’ambiance chaleureuse et apaisante, et l’emplacement est juste magnifique. Nous avons particulièrement aimé la touche marocaine du Riad, son charme authentique, la décoration traditionnelle et cette atmosphère si chaleureuse qui nous a fait sentir comme chez nous 🥰✨ Nous avons passé un très beau séjour et nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir. Une très belle adresse que nous recommandons vivement ! 🇲🇦❤️

Je tiens à remercier Bouchra pour son accueil chaleureux et sa gentillesse durant mon séjour en solo au Riad Dar LouLou à Essaouira. Le lieu est propre, calme et très bien situé. J’ai passé un excellent moment et je recommande vivement cet endroit
