By car, you can reach the Eider Barrage and the swimming area at Wesselburenerkoog in just a few minutes. Büsum and Tönning are about 15 minutes away, while Sankt Peter-Ording and Friedrichstadt are each about 20 minutes by car. Hamburg or the Baltic Sea can be reached in about 1.5 hours.
