The Neighborhood:

South Kihei gives you a classic Maui beach day without a complicated plan. Across the street, Kalama Park has tennis courts, volleyball, lawns, and an oceanfront path. Next door, The Cove is a familiar spot for surf lessons and stand-up paddleboarding. Maui Gardens and The Triangle keep snacks, local shopping, and dinner close, while Kamaole Beach Park I is a short drive south for swimming and sunsets. This is a walkable area with the relaxed energy families and couples look for when they want beach time, food, and fun close together.



Getting Around:

Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A rental car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.
