Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom abode is 50 metres from the harbour and beach. Stroll down to a friendly pub to watch the boats as you enjoy a pint of local ale or a tasty Scottish feast. Book a wildlife-watching cruise out on the open sea from here, too. Walk out along the clifftops in either direction to take in the incredible seascapes. Head out along a section of the Southern Upland Way, perhaps in the direction of Killantringan Lighthouse, 2 miles away. Visit the beautiful Logan Botanical Gardens, 15 miles away, with its incredible collection of exotic plants, thanks to the Gulf Stream. Plan a day trip to Stranraer, 6.5 miles away, at the head of Loch Ryan, with its shops, museum and Castle Kennedy Gardens. Don't forget your golf clubs as Portpatrick and nearby Stranraer both have beautiful links courses.

Return from your exciting trips to enter the cottage via the street. Leave your walking boots in the hall and turn right into the bright lounge. Settle in this comfortable space to enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of shortbread as you discuss the highlights of the day. The light-filled kitchen/diner is also a great space to gather, with its charming central table, great for games as well as meals. This space has been fitted out with all you need for self-catering with the produce you source during your excursions. Open the patio doors to the garden in here on fine spring and summer days. There is also a handy WC downstairs. The two bedrooms and a family shower room are all upstairs.

Step out onto the deck for morning coffee and evening breakfast on sunny days. Relax at the table with a cold drink in the fully enclosed garden. Parking for this cottage is on the street, subject to availability.
