The ferry ride to Adelsö marks the transition from the city to a more peaceful setting, and this house immediately reinforces that feeling. Large windows allow the greenery outside to blend seamlessly with the rooms inside, and on warm days, they open fully onto the garden.

The open kitchen and TV room serve as the home’s gathering place, featuring air conditioning for the height of summer and a fireplace for the evenings. Two modern bathrooms and a discreet workspace make the house just as suitable for a longer stay as for a short weekend getaway.

The patios face different directions, so you can follow the sun from morning to evening, with the garden serving as the backdrop for evening barbecues. A hiking trail through the coniferous forest begins right behind the house.

On Adelsö, you’ll find Hovgården with its café and homemade pies, Alsnu Skeppslag with views of the boats, and a hidden sandy beach in Sättra. A short boat ride takes you to historic Birka, which is full of activities during the summer, and the island is easily accessible by car or bus.
