This property occupies a countryside location along with Mabels Place and the owners’ property on a small working farm between Harrogate and Otley. It is set in meadow grassland with native woodland nearby, supporting a wide variety of grasses, insects, birds and animals as well as the owners’ herd of pedigree Longhorn Cattle and Tamworth pigs. Take a farm walk with the owners, hear about their regenerative farming practices, try some home-produced beef and pork. Sip a glass of wine down by the farm wildlife lake, walking and footpaths from the door. Explore nearby Almscliffe Crag and Riffa Wood or sample some Betty’s cakes from Harlow Carr Gardens, a game of golf at one of many local courses or take the family to Valley Gardens. Within easy reach of the nearby towns of Harrogate, Otley, Knaresborough, Pateley Bridge and the surrounding countryside this property offers the perfect Yorkshire getaway.
Head up the terrace steps and take in your rural surroundings before heading inside into this charmingly appointed cottage. It has been decorated with a stylish yet homely interior, creating a welcoming environment for your stay. Stepping inside through the hallway and into the open-plan living space, where the whole family can enjoy the cosy lounge area whilst watching your favourite films on the smart TV or listen to some tunes on the Bluetooth speaker. With high ceilings and windows, it gives plenty of light and patio doors open out to the sun terrace. While a bottle of wine is opened around the dining table, watch the chef cook on the electric oven and gas hob among the rest of the appliances including a microwave, fridge/freezer. Off the entrance hall is a shower room with a shower and WC and also has a washing machine. Also, a ground floor bedroom with a king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be made into a 2ft 6 twin on request) with reclaimed oak window seat looking on to the orchard. Travel up the stairs to find the galleried bedroom with king size bed and en-suite bathroom with corner bath and WC. The bed sits under the Velux window and has a wonderful view of the stars and the night sky.
The cottage has a south facing terrace/patio area with outdoor furniture for al fresco dining. It also shares a walled, gated garden. The is secure lockable storage for bicycles and parking for two cars is available.
