Spend your afternoons in Keswick, 6.5 miles away, wandering around the interesting independent shops, choosing places to dine out and visiting museums. Try paddle-boarding or canoeing on Derwentwater or book a cruise to take you the length and breadth of the lake.

Watch TV in here, make plans for the following day or take the few steps up into the snug instead which also boats a Smart TV. Head through into the kitchen/diner as mealtimes approach.
