A proposito di questa bed and breakfast
Stay in a piece of Norwalk history at Olive Street Carriage House, a beautifully updated 1905 carriage house marked by the Firelands Historical Society. Across two full floors of living space above a private ground-floor entry, this home comfortably sleeps 8 guests with room to spare: a second-floor king suite with a full ensuite bath, walk-in closet, and makeup counter; a dining table for 8; multiple living-room seating areas; a full kitchen; a half bath with in-unit laundry; and a private wraparound balcony with grill and outdoor seating. Upstairs on the third floor, two more bedrooms — a queen and a double — share a full bathroom along an open, character-filled overlook walkway.
Parking is plentiful, with room for 3+ vehicles as well as a boat and trailer, making this a strong fit for groups headed to nearby Summit Motorsports Park, traveling sports teams headed to Sports Force Parks in Sandusky, or anyone bringing lake gear. Downtown Norwalk's historic Main Street district, the Firelands Museum, and Thomas Edison's birthplace in Milan are all a short drive away, with Cedar Point and Lake Erie reachable for a bigger day trip.
Layout / sleeping details
• 2nd Floor: 1 King Bedroom (ensuite full bath, walk-in closet, makeup counter, Roku TV) + Pullout sofa in living room
• 3rd Floor: 1 Queen Bedroom (Roku TV) + 1 Double Bedroom + shared full bathroom (standup shower)
• Total sleeping capacity: 8 guests
• Bathrooms: 2 full baths + 1 half bath (with washer/dryer)
Family/group suitability section
With three separate bedrooms plus a pullout sofa, multiple living areas, and a dining table for 8, this home is built for groups who want togetherness and privacy in the same stay. A Pack n Play is available for families traveling with an infant. Please note: the third floor is an open loft-style layout with a railed walkway overlooking the second floor — worth knowing if you're traveling with young children. This property does not accept pets.
Location section
Located in Norwalk, Ohio, minutes from the historic downtown Main Street district and its shops, restaurants, and year-round community events. Summit Motorsports Park is 5–10 minutes away for race weekends, and traveling sports teams are roughly 25–35 minutes from Sports Force Parks at Cedar Point Sports Center in Sandusky. The Firelands Museum and Thomas Edison's birthplace in nearby Milan are both a short drive away, with Cedar Point and Lake Erie about 25–35 minutes away for a bigger day trip.
Practical details section
• Parking for 3+ vehicles, plus space for a boat and trailer (garage not included in guest access)
• Full kitchen with drip coffee maker and Keurig (K-cups, creamer, and sugar provided)
• Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided in both full bathrooms
• Washer/dryer on the 2nd floor
• House rules: no pets, no smoking, no parties or events, quiet hours 10:00 PM–8:00 AM (extra consideration for noise in outdoor/balcony areas given the shared driveway)
• Owner resides in the neighboring home; a portion of the driveway is shared, and a walkway connecting to the owner's property is blocked off and not part of the guest space
• The third floor is an open loft-style layout with a railed walkway overlooking the second floor — worth knowing if you're traveling with young children.
• A single thermostat on the second floor controls both the second and third floors. The third floor sits under the roofline and runs a few degrees warmer in summer — the nature of central air in a 1905 home. Two box fans are provided, one in each third-floor bedroom closet.
• This is a historic 1905 building; some original character comes with it, including a lower ceiling at the third-floor bathroom sink due to the roofline.
