Reconnect, unwind & be present beneath the Twelve Bens

Set along a quiet country laneway with uninterrupted views stretching across the magnificent Twelve Bens mountain range, this peaceful retreat invites you to slow down and experience Connemara as it was meant to be: wild, simple and deeply restorative.

Surrounded by open countryside, nearby sheep wander the fields, and the gentle rhythm of a working farm becomes part of everyday life. Mornings begin with mountain views and birdsong, while evenings offer spectacular sunsets, star-filled skies and a sense of calm that feels increasingly rare.

This is not a place of excess or distraction. It is a comfortable, traditional base in one of Connemara’s most breathtaking settings, where the real luxury lies in the landscape beyond your window.

Step away from notifications, emails and the endless scroll. Trade screen time for long walks through the surrounding countryside, morning coffee overlooking the mountains, conversations that linger, and moments of stillness you didn’t realise you needed.

Whether you spend your days exploring nearby beaches, hiking rugged trails or simply watching the ever-changing light over the Twelve Bens, this is somewhere to reconnect with nature, loved ones and yourself.

At Twelve Bens Mountain Lodge, we believe holidays should offer more than a change of scenery. They should create space to breathe, reset and truly arrive in the moment.

Here, the mountains set the pace.
