For a group of seven seeking a proper Pyrenean summer base — with space, mountain character, and one of France's most activity-packed resorts right outside — this duplex apartment at the Residence Le Pédrou in Font-Romeu is a strong and versatile choice. Set right in the resort centre, 350 metres from the cable car and the Cerdagne valley views stretching out below, it's a layout that manages seven guests with considerably more comfort than most mountain apartments at this capacity.

The apartment sleeps seven across four distinct sleeping areas that include a double bedroom, a living area with a daybed and pull-out bed, a sleeping alcove with bunk beds, and a mezzanine with a single bed, creating natural space for every guest. Two bathrooms, one with a bath, each with a toilet — keeps the group moving comfortably through shared mornings. The open-plan kitchenette includes a coffee machine, microwave, and dishwasher, and a TV is included. Bed linen, towels, and free Wi-Fi are included throughout. Covered parking is available at an additional charge.

The surrounding Pyrenees deliver an exceptional summer activity offer — hiking, cycling, climbing, via ferrata, horse riding, paragliding, hot air ballooning, white-water sports, archery, tennis, squash, badminton, and mini golf are all available nearby. Font-Romeu's town centre adds a casino, cinema, children's entertainment, and nightlife for evenings spent off the mountain.

The Cerdagne valley — one of France's sunniest — sits spread out below the resort, and Andorra is within reach for a rewarding day out. A genuinely well-equipped mountain apartment for a group that wants space, activity, and the Pyrenees at its best.
