La Bastide du Causse — a quiet retreat at Domaine Gouloumès

Imagine a gate opening onto golden stone, soft light and a peaceful enclosed garden in the heart of the Lot. A morning swim, breakfast beneath the pergola, a long lunch with the people you love: here, there is time to enjoy the simple things.

The private outdoor pool is open all year. Heating is included only from 1 May to 30 September; outside these dates, heating is optional, subject to advance confirmation and an additional charge. See the detailed pool conditions below.

This characterful stone house in Ginouillac welcomes up to eight guests. The entire house, garden, private pool, bioclimatic pergola and parking are reserved for you alone.

Inside, warm textures, wood and natural light create an inviting living space. Settle into a comfortable sofa, enjoy a film on the 65-inch television or gather around the table. The open kitchen is made for leisurely breakfasts and dinners that stretch into the evening. Air conditioning throughout the house and free Wi-Fi make your stay comfortable.

Four bedrooms, room to unwind
Two bedrooms have queen-size beds. The other two can each be arranged as two single beds or a double bed with a mattress topper. Please tell us your preferred configuration before arrival. Two bathrooms with walk-in showers complete the house. Bed linen, bath towels and two tea towels are included, along with a starter kit for the first needs of your stay. Please bring your own pool towels.

A private garden and pool
Behind the stone walls, enjoy a quiet corner with a book or share a meal in the shade of the pergola. The private outdoor pool measures 12 × 3.50 m and is 1.50 m deep. A broad submerged step, approximately 30 cm deep, provides a place to relax in the water; there is no separate shallow pool.

POOL — OPENING AND HEATING
The private outdoor pool is open all year. Pool access is included throughout the year; heating conditions depend on the season.
– From 1 May to 30 September: heating is included at no extra charge.
– In April and October: heating is available on request and subject to confirmation, with a €100 initial heating charge before arrival, then €25 per night booked. Heating the pool takes several days; please contact us in advance.
– From November to March: the pool remains open but is unheated. Exceptional heating may be considered on request, depending on weather and technical feasibility, at an additional charge quoted and confirmed in advance.
– Outside 1 May–30 September, the pool remains unheated unless the heating option has been confirmed.
– A specific water temperature cannot be guaranteed: it depends on the weather, wind and overnight temperatures. Pool towels are not provided.

A personal welcome
Check-in is from 4 pm and check-out by 11 am. We prefer to welcome you in person and show you around the house. For late or overnight arrivals, a secure key box can be arranged in advance. Please send your approximate arrival time the day before or on the day, then message us again 30–60 minutes before you arrive.

Private parking is available. A 7 kW electric-car charging point is available on request for €20 per night for the entire booked stay, for one vehicle.

The house is non-smoking and pets are not accepted. Please leave the property in a reasonable condition, respect the cleaning team and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
