HVacation in architectural monument combine heritage protection and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, carefully renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model offers a double advantage: monuments are revitalised and guests experience a stay in an extraordinary building. The idea was implemented by the ‘Ferien im Baudenkmal’ foundation, which was set up by the Swiss Heritage Society in 2005.Public transport: Train to Mendrisio.
