Waking up to panoramic Pyrenean mountain views is not something most holidays offer, but at the Residence Le Pédrou in Font-Romeu, it comes as standard for most apartments in this category. Set right in the centre of one of the Eastern Pyrenees' most energetic summer resorts, just 350 metres from the cable car and steps from shops, restaurants, and all the activities the region is known for, this alcove apartment is a well-positioned and practical base for four.

The apartment sleeps four across a living area with a double sofa bed and a sleeping alcove with bunk beds - a layout that works particularly well for families with younger children. The TV and open-plan kitchenette with coffee machine, microwave, and dishwasher keep daily life easy and self-contained. The bathroom with a shower and toilet handles the group's morning routine without fuss. Bed linen, towels, and free Wi-Fi are all included. Covered parking is available at the residence at an additional charge.

Font-Romeu and the Cerdagne are surrounded by summer activity — hiking, cycling, climbing, via ferrata, horse riding, hot air ballooning, paragliding, white-water sports, archery, tennis, squash, badminton, and mini golf are all accessible nearby. The town's casino, cinema, children's entertainment, and nightclub round out the evening options.

The Cerdagne valley is one of the sunniest areas in France, and Andorra is within easy reach for a memorable day trip. An honest, well-located mountain base with views that make every morning feel worthwhile.
