This adorable 1950s beach house is what memories are made of! Once inside you'll see just what a true 'Ocean Gem' this home is. All original heart pine interior feautres and door hardware make this home so very unique - perfectly decorated and updated, and used only by the family for several generations... Until now. We loved staying in this home it was clean and had everything we needed! It’s was our 24th anniversary and my 2nd time staying in the house. We loved the closeness of the ocean and the convenience of all the eateries and shopping. We would definitely stay again.

The Ocean Gem was overall an okay place to stay while we were in North Myrtle Beach. It's older for sure, but still cozy. There was some strange smells in specific corners of the house, and you can tell previous guests have not seemed to respect the pet-friendliness of the location. It's an older house that is pet friendly, and it smells of both, but once you become nose-blind to it it's a fine place to sleep. Overall could be a little cheaper for the state the house is in, but it is an individual house for rent with the beach across the street, so it's probably the cheapest you're going to find in that regard, just keep that in mind.
