Wide windows make the fjord landscape the defining feature of this inviting living room, bringing water, wooded hills and changing daylight into view from the seating area. Timber details and a substantial wooden table reinforce the relaxed, traditional character, while a fireplace adds warmth on cooler evenings. Outside, a large garden provides further space to enjoy the peaceful setting, and a swimming beach and grocery store can be reached on foot. The surrounding Fister countryside is ideal for hiking, with fjord and mountain scenery accompanying days outdoors. A motorboat can also be rented on request for time on the water. Further afield, Jørpeland provides a gateway to the celebrated Preikestolen hike above Lysefjord. Scenic drives through Ryfylke reveal waterfalls, mountains and fjords, while Stavanger offers an appealing day trip for waterfront streets, restaurants and urban culture.
