Welcome to Icing on the Lake! This stunning 8-bedroom, 6.5-bath lakefront retreat on Lake Gaston comfortably sleeps up to 22 guests. Enjoy spacious living areas, a fully equipped kitchen, game and theater room, and a private gym. Relax on multiple decks with seating, a grill, and beautiful lake views—perfect for gatherings and making unforgettable memories.

We enjoyed our stay at Lake Gaston. The home is located on a beautiful part of the lake, tucked away in a quiet cove while still offering easy access to the main channel. The finished basement provided plenty of space and entertainment for our larger group, and the home was well-equipped overall. We especially enjoyed spending time around the dock, which was a great place to relax and take in the lake.The property changed ownership during the time of our reservation, so we expected there might be a few transition-related issues. The biggest challenge was that many of the pre-arrival and check-in/check-out instructions contained conflicting information, which made the process confusing. A thorough review and update of these instructions would be very helpful for future guests. The Wi-Fi was also intermittent, and there were times when the host was not as responsive as we would have liked.The home's décor is a bit dated, and the upholstered furniture could benefit from a deep cleaning. The main family room would be more comfortable with additional seating, especially for larger groups. We also recommend adding patio umbrellas on both the back deck and dock to provide much-needed shade during the summer.Overall, we believe there is plenty of opportunity for the new owners to enhance an already enjoyable property. Despite a few shortcomings, the home comfortably accommodated our large group, and we had a great week on the lake. We would recommend it to families or groups.
