Expansive windows draw the mountain landscape straight into the living room, creating a strong connection between the comfortable interior and the Norwegian wilderness outside. Timber-lined walls and ceiling reinforce the cabin atmosphere, while generous seating invites unhurried evenings together after an active day. When temperatures fall, the fireplace adds extra warmth to this restful setting. Around Øyfjell and Vinje, the surrounding countryside offers rewarding terrain for hiking, while anglers with the appropriate fishing licence can explore the area's fishing opportunities. Rauland provides further possibilities for days outdoors, from alpine skiing in winter to frisbee golf during the greener months. Canoes and boats can also be rented for time on the water. For a memorable excursion, visit Vidsyn, a striking sculpture whose setting encourages visitors to stop, take in the scenery and experience the openness of the Telemark landscape.
