Beach Backpackers

Nice hostel near the main large beach in Durres. Only 5-10 minutes walk from the beach. This is in the area where most of hotels and resorts in Durres are. A lot of supermarkets, shops and restaurants nearby within walking distance. The owner of the hostel is very nice, friendly and helpful person. The hostel is overall clean and comfortable. Bedroom was very clean. There is a nice outdoor place where I could sit and relax. There is also small proper kitchen available. I enjoyed my stay there and I will be happy to come back again.

It is possibile to pay only by cash for the stay. Cleanliness of bathroom and kitchen needs some improvement.

I honestly don’t understand why people rate this hostel so low. It’s a perfectly decent place to stay for two or three nights at a reasonable price. Mustafa runs the hostel himself and even feeds the stray cats in the courtyard. There’s also a really nice, cozy courtyard with flowers, which gives the place a nice atmosphere and is not something you often find in hostels. My room had clean pillowcases and a clean towel, and there were no issues with cleanliness. Soap and shampoo were also provided, which I appreciated. To the people complaining about cleanliness: maybe take a little better care of your own mess and don’t expect a hostel to have the standards of a five-star hotel.
