The Hidey-Ho
Escape to this charming cabin on over 50 private acres surrounded by the Chequamegon National Forest. Nestled on a quiet peninsula, where peaceful surroundings and beautiful lake views create the perfect setting to relax and recharge. This inviting retreat is ideal for guests looking to slow down, enjoy nature, and experience classic cabin charm.
The cabin offers two comfortable bedrooms:
• One bedroom with a king bed
• A second bedroom featuring a twin bed and a bunk bed, perfect for families or extra guests
The living space is warm and welcoming, highlighted by hardwood floors, beams, and a stunning stone fireplace. Relax by the fire, enjoy quiet evenings, or watch your favorite shows on the TV in the living room.
The kitchen is stocked with convenient essentials including a refrigerator, coffee pot, microwave, and toaster, and cooking implements for simple or complex meal prep. Step outside to enjoy the propane grill and take in the lake, or retreat to the screened porch for views of the woods were Elk and deer pass through.
The property features miles of private trails winding through woods and wetlands, ideal for backcountry skiing, snowshoeing, mountain biking, trail running, or peaceful walks. These connect directly into the forest and provide access to nearby ATV and mountain bike trail systems.
Fishing enthusiasts can enjoy the lake with their own boat or rent our pontoon for fishing or sunsets on the lake.
You’re also just:
• 10 minutes from groomed cross-country ski trails
• 15 minutes from CAMBA (Chequamegon Area Mountain Bike Association) world-class trails
• 20 minutes from Garmisch Resort on the Namekagon River
• Minutes from the small town of Clam Lake with classic Northwoods dining, a great sports bar, and access to basic groceries and a bait shop.
25 minutes from Cable or Hayward.
Whether you’re biking world-class trails, skiing through silent forests, fishing at dawn, or just watching the woods from the porch with a drink in hand, this cabin is built for slowing down and soaking up the Northwoods.
** Two canoes and one kayak are available to use during stays**
There is a pontoon boat available to add to your reservation. If you would like to rent the pontoon during your stay, please send us a message for current rental rates.
