As well as a fully equipped kitchen, and a distinctive circular dining room centred around a large King Arthur-style dining table overhung by a chandelier. The indoor pool can be heated on request, while the gardens offer numerous seating areas with lovely countryside views. Quiet and tranquillity are assured, with frequent sightings of deer in the surrounding fields and woodlands, and abundant birdlife around the lake and in the gardens.

Remarkably, all this is within a few minutes' walk of Jempsons superstore and restaurant, a filling station, a countryside spa hotel with restaurant, ladies' bar and spa facilities, a traditional village pub, and regular bus services to Rye and its railway station.

Just five miles away lies the historic Cinque Port of Rye, renowned for its cobbled streets, independent shops and excellent restaurants. Nearby are the vast sandy beaches of Camber Sands, several historic castles, nature reserves, woodland walks, Battle Abbey, Herstmonceux, and the South Downs National Park, including Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters.
