Artwork and simple wooden furnishings lend this intimate sitting room an individual, homely character. A sofa, reclining chair and coffee table create a comfortable corner for slowing down, whether with a book, a cup of coffee or plans for the next day’s adventures. Natural light enters through the window, which looks towards the low vegetation typical of Denmark’s exposed western coastline. In Thyborøn, the sea is an ever-present part of daily life, from walks along the North Sea shore to the working harbour and its fishing traditions. Learn about dramatic maritime history at the Sea War Museum Jutland or discover creatures from local waters at JyllandsAkvariet. The surrounding coast also invites cycling, birdwatching and invigorating walks through dunes and open landscapes. Back in town, freshly landed fish and seafood offer an authentic taste of this distinctive corner of West Jutland.
