Summary:
Welcome to Hideaway Lodge!
This beautiful rustic 2 BED 1 BATH cabin can comfortably sleep 6 people and boasts an open concept living room and kitchen with beautiful vaulted ceilings. Experience nature and tranquility while soaking in the hot tub or enjoying the front porch with your morning coffee. Gather around the campfire and hammock while grilling out! Located in Trenton, Georgia, it's only 30 minutes from Downtown Chattanooga which has lots of restaurants and attractions to see!!
The Space:
Home Layout:
When entering the cabin, the open concept living room and fully stocked kitchen is on left and the the bedroom with a king bed is on the right. The large stairway in the middle of the room goes up to the second bedroom which is an open concept loft space that has 2 queen beds and a private balcony. Down by the kitchen, there is a dining table with seating for 6 and a bathroom with a standing shower and a jacuzzi bath tub. Right next to the bathroom is the laundry area with a large washer and dryer that you are welcome to use during your stay. The living room has a gas fireplace, a large flat screen TV and 2 comfy couches. There is also a large smart TV in the master bedroom downstairs. There is no Cable TV - smart TVs allow for streaming movies and shows by logging in with your own apps.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the whole entire cabin.
Getting Around:
Uber and Lyft are not always reliable in the Chattanooga area, so we recommend having a vehicle to fully enjoy everything the city has to offer.
Other Things to Note:
1. This property is dog-friendly. A maximum of 2 dogs is allowed.
2. A gas grill is available for guest use. We provide propane and grill utensils.
3. There is no dishwasher, but we provide a drying rack, dish soap, and towels.
4. There is another cabin on the opposite side of the property. Guests in that cabin do not have access to this cabin or its surrounding areas.
5. The upstairs loft is not suitable for young children due to the steep staircase leading up to the loft.
6. There is no cable TV. Smart TVs are available for streaming—just log in with your own apps.
7. The cabin is located on a hillside below White Oak Gap Road, so you may hear some road noise through the trees during your stay.
HOT TUB:
Please advise!! Hot tub maintenance is very important and it’s something that we take very seriously in between guest reservations. If the hot tub has to be dumped for sanitary and health safety reasons on a turnover day when the property is booked back to back, it may take 8-12 hours for it to reach high temps. We do the best we can to be proactive with this but ultimately it is out of our control to make the hot tub heat up faster. Health and safety for our guests is very important to us.
Weather and Outages!
As advertised, there will be no refunds in the unlikely circumstance that there is a power outage during your stay or if the weather is not cooperating. We do not have any control over the weather or outages caused by nature! We highly suggest you purchase travel insurance to be preventative in case something happens and you need to cancel.
Lady Bugs:
You may see some lady bugs in the home. Majority of the homes in this area have them. To stay ahead of this we are on preventative monthly pest control maintenance for all of our properties. Unfortunately they are still VERY hard to get rid of! Thankfully, they are harmless! But please know you will most likely see ladybugs in the home during your stay.
Interaction with Guests:
We like to give our guests space but are here if needed.

We had a great stay. The kids loved the loft and the fact that it has its own balcony. The location is great for Lookout Mountain and close to town. There is road noise- but it didn’t really distract from an overall secluded feel.

The hot tub was the cleanest I have ever been in. It was amazing. The location and views were great. It was secluded. We had a very relaxing time.

No storage (drawers or cubbies - luggage racks and flat surfaces only). Travelling home with semi-wet clothes because vent hose smashed behind dryer (restricting airflow). Attempted to dry three times (one on timed cycle that did nothing, and twice on max heat setting for full cycles). Suspect property owner used adjacent rental for invasive causation (overly "nosey"/"spying" the first day and "clocking" our actual departure time next day). Requires tenants to clean up dishes but doesn't inspect the level of "clean" compliance as evidenced by the fact that I had to wash most dishware and service prior to use. Kitchen was moderately well stocked for most people who "eat out" or bring in fast food but for those who like to cook - knives are dull (I bought a knife sharpener and left it for the next tenant), has a pizza pan but no pizza wheel (again, I bought one and left it for next tenant), and nothing to assist with "leftovers" (no old butter tubs/'tupperware' and/or no ziplock bags). They provide a well known brand for dish soap but it is heavily perfumed and no amount of rinsing with hot or cold water removes it so you "taste" that perfume when drinking/eating (had to buy a travel sized bottle of Dawn; this I took with me at c/o). Hot tub was not level so the water displacement of four people sent water over the edge where you get in/out like a waterfall (don't put shoes next to steps there unless they can get soaked) and overly chlorinated. Stairs hazard at any age.
