I have been travelling around Italy for the past month and AM house was without a doubt the best place I stayed during my time here. It was nothing short of exceptional! The host was very attentive and made the check in / out process a breeze. Ciro, the host, is very responsive to messages and questions; plus, he knows the local area at an expert level. Ciro helped me with an airport shuttle and also arranged different activities for me, for example a vineyard tour and a sunset hike on Vesuvio! The house is recently renovated and all the amenities are brand new. I've found almost all bathrooms and bedrooms in Italy to be quite dated, but here everything was modern and of the highest standard. Having powerful AC, a smart TV and a fully equipped kitchen (hob & dishwasher) was a luxury! I had a lot of luggage with me, but unlike the typical difficulties you face in Italy with large luggage and apartments without elevators, there was no problem at all with stairs here since the apartment is completely accessible from the entrance to the building. Another thing that surprised me was the internet. WiFi here is often unreliable. In the apartment there is fiber optic (high speed) broadband and I was able to work from the house with no problems at all. I slept like a baby during my stay, the bed was perfect but I still couldn't wait to try REAL Italian coffee in the morning with the fantastic breakfast provided. The house is 5 minutes walk from the train to Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento and close to the sea to enjoy the sunset in the evening or a sunrise swim. I would recommend everyone reading this to stay at AM house. It was the perfect base if you want to have a nice apartment, enjoy Vesuvio, visit the Pompeii ruins, get to the Amalfi or Sorrento coast or chill out after a crazy day exploring Naples! I will be returning and I can't wait!
