The worst check in experience I ever had
The property is exactly as in the photos, the location is very convenient, close to the metro station and train station at Schuman, although because the bedroom is on the side of the main street is very noisy at all times. It has all the facilities for the kitchen, ironing, etc, and a nice terrace.
This was the worst check in/check out experience I ever had, and I thought up until the last moment that it was a scam. Firstly, the hosts did not send the details of the address or how I can enter the apartment, although I asked them 5 times through the booking messages. They also didn't answer the emails and calls from customer service a day before the check in. I was only given the address after I sent a third complaint via booking customer services because it was already after 4pm (my check in time) and I still had no idea where to go. Once the hosts called me the first thing they asked me is if I want to cancel, which I never mentioned at all in my communication to them. Secondly, the key pick up is almost 1km away from the apartment, so in case you have a lot of luggage or you simply don't want to walk to another location for the key, it's far from ideal. I asked them if they can at least bring me the key given that they didn't send me the check in details on time, first they said maybe, then they said no. Luckily a friend drove me there, but if you are alone/first time in the area, good luck. Finally, for the check out it was the same - I asked if I should leave the key inside, since the door locks automatically when closed, and they said I have to bring it back to the key locker at another location, which is in the opposite direction of the metro station. If I didn't have 1 chance to call friends to keep an eye on my suitcases while I dropped off the key, I would have had to carry two huge suitcases up the hill to the location of the keybox. Overall, very inconvenient, inconsiderate and none of that was indicated anywhere before after the moment I was supposed to pick up the key. Furthermore, they even had a decency to ask if I will check out earlier than the planned time, so that they can organise the cleaning.
