The Space:
Unit A (2BR): Unit A is a well-appointed 2-bedroom condominium that puts ocean views front and center from the moment you walk in.
The open-plan living area connects to the kitchen and flows naturally out to a private lanai where you can take in both ocean and mountain vistas - a rare dual outlook that makes mornings with coffee especially worthwhile.
The kitchen is stocked for real cooking, and the dining area just off the living space seats the group comfortably for meals in.
The master bedroom is a genuine retreat with a king bed, its own balcony access, and a private ensuite bathroom featuring a walk-in shower and a soaking tub - the kind of bathroom setup that earns a lazy morning.
The second bedroom is fitted with two twin beds, making it an ideal configuration for kids, siblings, or traveling companions who prefer their own sleeping space, and it shares the second full bathroom with a shower and tub combo.
The living area adds a sleeper sofa, extending the unit's comfortable capacity to 6 guests in total.
With a private lanai, two bathrooms, and views that reach from the coastline to the slopes of Haleakala, Unit A delivers a complete and comfortable stay on its own - and pairs naturally with Unit B next door when your group needs the full four-bedroom setup.
Unit B (2BR): Unit B brings a fresh, updated aesthetic to the Haleakala Shores experience, with a renovated kitchen featuring white cabinetry and a double sink that gives the space a clean, contemporary feel.
The open living and dining area is comfortable and well-proportioned, with a mountain view that adds depth to the interior, and the living area's sleeper sofa means the unit can comfortably host up to 6 guests.
The master bedroom is appointed with a king bed and its own ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower and soaking tub - a thoughtful touch that makes sharing the unit with another couple or a small family genuinely comfortable rather than a compromise.
The second bedroom features a queen bed, making it the more adult-friendly pairing of the two units when the group includes multiple couples.
The second full bathroom has a shower and tub combo and is conveniently positioned for guests in the second bedroom and living area.
Step out onto the private lanai and you'll find a dual perspective - garden views on one side and ocean glimpses on the other - that rounds out a unit that feels complete, calm, and well suited to a Kihei beach vacation.
Paired with Unit A, the two condominiums give your full group four bedrooms, four bathrooms, two kitchens, and two private outdoor spaces, all within the same resort complex.
This Haleakala Shores stay brings together two private 2-bedroom condos within the same complex.
Guest Access:
Your reservation includes full access to both Unit A and Unit B at Haleakala Shores, as well as the shared community amenities - the resort swimming pool, outdoor lounge areas, and BBQ grills with patio seating. Property-specific arrival instructions, entry details, and parking information are provided with your confirmed reservation.
The Neighborhood:
Haleakala Shores sits directly across South Kihei Road from Kamaole Beach Park III, putting one of Maui's most beloved sandy beaches well under a tenth of a mile from your front door - close enough to carry a towel and walk. The south Kihei corridor along this stretch is exceptionally walkable for a Hawaiian resort area, with Dolphin Plaza, Kamaole Beach Center, Rainbow Mall, and Kamaole Shopping Center all within roughly two-tenths of a mile, offering grocery runs, casual dining, surf shops, and convenience stops without needing to get in a car. Kihei itself has a relaxed, unpretentious energy compared to the resort towns further north - local plate lunch spots and shave ice stands share the road with well-regarded seafood restaurants, and the string of Kamaole Beach Parks gives the neighborhood a genuine neighborhood feel rather than a manufactured resort corridor. The wide, calm waters off this coastline are popular for snorkeling, stand-up paddleboarding, and morning swims, and the area regularly sees Hawaiian green sea turtles hauling out along the shoreline.
Getting Around:
Kahului Airport (OGG) is the primary gateway to Maui and serves the island with direct mainland flights as well as interisland connections - the drive south to Kihei along Highway 311 and South Kihei Road is a common route for arriving guests, and a rental car is strongly recommended for making the most of the island, including day trips to Haleakala National Park, the Road to Hana, and the west Maui coast. Rideshare services operate on Maui, though availability can be less consistent than on the mainland, particularly for early morning or late night airport runs. The immediate neighborhood around Haleakala Shores is genuinely walkable for daily needs - the beach, multiple shopping centers, and casual dining options are all within a short walk along South Kihei Road - but broader Maui exploration benefits greatly from your own set of wheels.
