Stay in a traditional Tuscan home where classic wooden furnishings, warm earthy tones and period-style details create a characterful, lived-in atmosphere throughout. The interiors have a distinctly traditional feel, with coordinated dining and sitting areas, decorative textiles and substantial wooden furniture giving the property a sense of continuity from room to room. A fireplace adds further character and forms a natural focal point for quieter evenings indoors.

Livignano is a small medieval hamlet in the upper Garfagnana, surrounded by the mountains, forests and river landscapes of northern Tuscany. Nearby Piazza al Serchio is a useful starting point for walks and excursions, with historic bridges, traces of old fortifications and routes leading into the surrounding countryside. Nature enthusiasts can explore the protected landscapes around Orecchiella Park, while the medieval Fortezza delle Verrucole offers an insight into the area’s long defensive history. Local cooking reflects the rural traditions of the Garfagnana, including dishes made with regional spelt and other ingredients from the mountain valleys.
