Canadensis (Barrett Township) — a small Pocono Mountain hamlet at the crossroads of PA‑447 and PA‑390. The vibe is rural/resort: cabins, camps, seasonal visitors and year‑round residents. Local amenities near the intersection include a diner, small markets, churches and community services; larger restaurants, box stores and medical services are in Mount Pocono (≈9 miles) and East Stroudsburg (≈11 miles). Outdoor attractions, trails, lakes and family resorts are within a short drive.

Driving is the most practical way to get around; roads are rural two‑lane state highways with seasonal tourist traffic on weekends and holidays. On‑site or nearby parking is common. Rideshare coverage is limited and may be spotty — guests should plan for taxi or pre‑booked local shuttle service for late‑night travel. Regional bus services and private shuttle lines connect to larger towns; local taxi companies and private car services serve the Poconos. Winter weather can affect travel — four‑wheel drive and chains may be needed in heavy snow.

✅ We take your safety and security seriously and this property has special local compliance requirements of a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security deposit collection which will be a temporarily hold on the card for any damages. This will be returned back to your card within 7-10 days after your check out date. To make this easy for you, we use a secure and very simple, app-free platform called Happy Guest. It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account - it’s a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of my favorite local spots.
