If you’re looking for conventional accommodation, this may not be the place for you.
With over 150 years of history, this schist house in the Heart of the Douro, in Várzea de Trevões, São João da Pesqueira, preserves the essence of the Douro. Built with the region’s dark stone, it retains its schist walls, wooden beams and traditional Douro architectural features, now combined with modern comfort.
A return to the glorious Douro of old.
Other things to keep in mind
Breakfast: Available upon request at €10 per person, per day. Optional service, not included in the accommodation price, and subject to availability.
Property access: We reserve the right, occasionally and without prior notice, to have people access the outdoor areas (patio/pool) to take care of the property and the adjoining property.
