A proposito di questa chalet struttura in affitto
This is a working fly-fishing retreat first. Some of the best trout water east of the Rockies runs right through this valley, and a landmark covered bridge and reservoir views are minutes away. But the house holds its own beyond the river: guests consistently mention how comfortable, private, and peaceful it feels, with a host who's fast to respond and leaves nothing to guesswork — clear instructions on everything from the door code to the heat settings. There's a projector set up for movie nights after a long day outside, a fenced yard for downtime, and the kind of quiet, dark-sky setting that makes the drive out here worth it.
You're not stranded, either. About a half-hour southeast is Livingston Manor, which has quietly become one of the more interesting small towns in New York — a mix of longtime locals and newer transplants running natural-wine bars, a record shop, and fly shops that look more like design studios than tackle stores. Head the opposite direction, roughly 30–40 minutes northeast, and you'll hit Andes, a tiny village with an outsized concentration of chefs, painters, and a general store that punches well above its size. Either way, you're never far from a good meal or a decent glass of wine after a day on the water.
Expect two-lane rural roads, a real driving commitment to get anywhere (grocery, pharmacy, and gas run 20–40 minutes depending on direction), and genuinely limited cell/rideshare coverage — this is a place to unplug, not a suburb with a view. If you're coming to fish, hike, chase fall foliage, or just disappear into the woods for a few days in a house with real character, this A-frame delivers on all of it.
