Courtyard Cottage is a spacious two-bedroom holiday cottage in a peaceful rural setting just outside Barnstaple. Surrounded by beautiful North Devon countryside, it’s a great base for couples, friends and small families, with the coast, Exmoor, local attractions and Barnstaple all within easy reach.



Lovingly converted from former farm buildings, the cottage retains an interesting history: the main living area was once a stable and hayloft, the twin bedroom a dairy, and the master bedroom a schoolroom for children from the farm and nearby Roborough House.



The cottage is arranged on one level, with a bright open-plan living space featuring a large corner sofa, wood-burning stove, Smart TV and dining area for four. The well-equipped kitchen includes an induction hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer and Nespresso coffee machine.



There are two comfortable bedrooms. The master has a king-size bed, ample storage, wash basin, en-suite shower room and direct access to an outdoor terrace. The light and spacious twin bedroom has two full-size single beds and is served by the family bathroom with a large walk-in shower.



Outside, guests can choose from four seating areas with lovely countryside views. There is also an outdoor hose for rinsing muddy boots, wetsuits and surfboards, plus storage for bikes and surfboards.



Please note that Courtyard Cottage is pet-free and does not have an enclosed garden.

Four outdoor seating areas, with two tables and seating for six. Bike and surfboard storage and an outdoor hose are available. There is no enclosed garden.

Underfloor heating, wood-burning stove, WiFi, bed linen and towels provided (indoor use only). Travel cot and high chair available on request; please bring your own cot bedding. Hairdryers, iron and ironing board provided. Off-road parking for two cars. Pet-free. Short breaks available.



Please note: Although the accommodation is arranged on one level, there are several steps and slopes on the approach, so it may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility. Please contact us before booking if you have any accessibility requirements.
