Built in 1858 by architects Hornblower and Haylock in the Jacobean revival style, the building is Grade II listed (Historic England listing 1076280) and was originally an almshouse complex. Today it combines that period character with a fully refurbished, high-specification interior finish.

The flat occupies its own space within the complex, with an open-plan kitchen and living area and a separate double bedroom, all finished to a high standard. The building itself is arranged around a landscaped courtyard garden, giving the development a quiet, green feel despite sitting directly on Birmingham's Five Ways roundabout, one of the city's best-connected locations.

LOCATION

Five Ways is a well-known, highly central Birmingham location at the junction of Broad Street and Hagley Road, on the edge of Birmingham City Centre. The development sits immediately next to Broadway Plaza, an entertainment complex with a multiplex cinema, tenpin bowling, a gym and an indoor climbing centre, plus a range of restaurants and bars, all within a couple of minutes on foot. A large Morrisons supermarket is directly across the road for everyday shopping.

Five Ways railway station is roughly 600 metres away (around 7-8 minutes on foot), with a Cross-City Line service into Birmingham New Street. The Five Ways Metro tram stop is a similarly short walk, connecting directly along Broad Street into the city centre and out to Edgbaston Village on Hagley Road. 🔑 Step 1: Collect your key and fob
Walk past the low brick wall with black railings. In the last brick column on your right, you will see two lockboxes. Use the black one at the top, marked Squire.

🚪 Step 2: Enter the building
Go to the white double doors. Hold your fob against the small octagonal metal reader below the keypad panel, not on the keypad itself. It looks worn, but it is the reader.

🏠 Step 3: Find your apartment
Once inside, go to the first block on your left. You will see a small porch with two doors, marked 1 and 2. Your apartment is number 1, the pink door on the ground floor. Use your key to open it. Please do not go upstairs, as other guests are staying there.

When you leave, please return the key and fob to the black Squire lockbox and scramble the code.
