🥾 Sam Knob Trailhead — another excellent Pisgah/Blue Ridge hiking option for guests wanting a longer mountain adventure.
🌲 Chestnut Mountain Nature Park — a large conservation/recreation park in Canton with outdoor trails.

🛟 Cold Mountain Tubing — seasonal Pigeon River tubing in Canton; it`s geared toward a relaxed scenic float rather than whitewater.
💧 Looking Glass Falls — a spectacular 60-foot waterfall in Pisgah National Forest that`s particularly easy for vacationers because you don`t need a substantial hike to see it.
🚗 Blue Ridge Parkway — this whole area gives guests access to scenic drives, overlooks, waterfalls and trails. Graveyard Fields, Black Balsam and other major stops are along this section.

A personal vehicle is strongly recommended. Uber and Lyft operate in the greater area, but availability can be limited due to the home`s mountain location, particularly at night or during off-peak hours. Guests should not rely solely on rideshare transportation during their stay.
🐻 Bear Safety
• Bears are attracted to garbage! Dispose of all trash in bear-proof cans outside, and always use trash bags -- no loose garbage.

🧼 Checkout Reminders
• Strip beds and place used linens, bath, and kitchen towels in the laundry room.
• Leave basement sofa beds undone if used.
• Load and start the dishwasher before leaving. Our cleaners appreciate it!

🎉 No Parties
• To maintain a peaceful retreat, parties are not allowed.

🚭 No Smoking
• Smoking is strictly prohibited indoors and on the deck, as smoke lingers and is hard to remove.

🐶 Pet Policy
• Please keep pets off furniture and beds to avoid excessive hair. A cleaning fee may apply if needed.
