This villa was once the home of the family’s grandparents; the owners have renovated it room by room without erasing its history. Each room features repurposed furniture and original artwork: oil paintings and textural paintings created by the owners’ mother, which you’ll find hanging on the walls and about which guests often ask.



The single-storey home accommodates six people, with three double bedrooms, each with its own character: one in Venetian style, one minimalist with neutral colours and a lamp made from a branch, and one contemporary with restored 1960s furniture. Each room has a playful name. The living area's an open space with large windows and a kitchen island.



Outside, the covered terrace with its small sofas is the spot where people find themselves sitting together without even planning it. We've meticulously tended the fenced-in garden, plant by plant: magnolias, crape myrtles and hydrangeas. Cultivated fields surround the property; early risers may spot grey herons, little egrets and, in winter, sacred ibises. We've included a reserved parking space.



Oriago sits on the Brenta Riviera, where Venetian aristocrats have spent their holidays for centuries. Nearby, the Burchiello boat'll take you to Padua or Venice, passing villas and locks along the way. Five kilometres away stands La Malcontenta, Palladio’s only villa on the Brenta River. In Mira, you’ll find Villa Widmann and Villa Valmarana; in Dolo, the mill painted by Canaletto. Venice's half an hour away.
