This pet friendly, four season cottage is the perfect space to escape the city with a loved one for a weekend or for your next family vacation! Only 50 minutes from Halifax, it’s in perfect proximity between downtown Chester and Windsor. The home Includes a large eat in kitchen with sitting area, bathroom, laundry and two bedrooms on the main level and a walkout primary bedroom and large living room with wood stove on the lower level and a large walk out deck overlooking the lake.

Large open concept 1456 sqft cottage with stunning South-East facing views of Nine Mile Lake. There is a large fully enclosed deck with access from the large family room and master bedroom. There is an outdoor dining area, lounge area and a propane BBQ and fire pit on the deck to enjoy! This cottage has just been renovated and features new flooring, a new updated bathroom, kitchen with all new appliances, freshly painted interior, all new mattress` on the beds, many pieces of new furniture and a bright, fresh decor.

There are 3 bedrooms, the master has a king size bed and is located on the lower level which has direct access to the large deck and amazing lake views. There are two other bedrooms on either side of the bathroom on the main level, one has a twin over twin bunk bed and the other has a queen bed. There is also a full size washer and dryer beside the bedrooms and a clothes line off the laundry area. The family room has a bar area for entertaining and a desk overlooking the lake. The kitchen has all new appliances including a dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker. All dishes, utensils, pots and pans and basics for cooking are supplied. There is a dining area with a table to sit 6 (there are 2 extra chairs available in a shed if needed) and a dining nook which has a futon couch for extra sleeping and provides an extra gathering space.

Located within an hour of Halifax, 30 minutes to Hubbards, 25 minutes to Chester 30 minutes to Mahone Bay, 40 minutes to Lunenburg- close to all the South Shore has to offer! We are also only a 10 minute drive to Sherwood Golf & Country Club and 25 minute drive to Ski Martock.

Although I do not allow large parties, I am open to small gatherings/events as the space is large and can comfortably accommodate groups of people.

There is a Smart Lock for easy access- code will be given prior to check in day.

Garbage:

There is a garbage/recycling site at the beginning of Sherwood Forest Road that will take all garbage and recycling. We respectfully ask that all garbage and recycling be taken to this dump site when you leave. There is compost bin on site but only for vegetables, no meat please (please put meat in the garbage).
Pets allowed, however must be discussed prior to booking. 2 dogs max.

Propane BBQ and fire pit table available for use and includes 1 full propane tank. No campfires allowed due to burning bans, however fire pit table allows for safe fires anytime!
