THE BUILDING & NEIGHBORHOOD
Old Midtown is the first urbanized neighborhood in Harrisburg, on the National Register since 1983. There is Late Victorian and Federal architecture, the Governor's Residence, and Midtown's restaurant and gallery corridor. You get the historic exterior with a fully renovated interior.
WHO THIS WORKS FOR
Legislators, staff, and advocates during session. Traveling clinicians at UPMC Harrisburg. Consultants working downtown. Anyone relocating to Harrisburg who needs somewhere real to live while they figure out what's next.
THE BUILDING
This is unit #2 in a 1860’s mixed-use building with 2 other apartments. You'll share the front entrance and stairwell with neighbors. It's a second-floor walk-up (approximately 10 steps), and there is no elevator. Worth knowing if you're arriving with a month of luggage or have any mobility limits. The building is well over a century old and fully renovated inside, but the bones are original. Expect to see creaks in the floors/sound carrying in the stairwell or imperfections (that add character) along the way. :-)
