Welcome! We’re happy to have you and hope you enjoy a comfortable, peaceful stay.



Our home offers a relaxed, country-style setting with plenty of outdoor space while still providing convenient access to Starkville and the surrounding area. Whether you’re visiting for a Mississippi State game weekend, spending time with family, working in the area, or simply looking for a quieter place to stay, we hope you feel right at home.



🏡 About the Property



Guests are welcome to enjoy all areas of the home, including the living areas, kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, covered porch, and outdoor spaces.



The only private area is the closet in Bedroom 2, which will remain locked and is not accessible to guests.



You’ll also find plenty of outdoor space and parking on the property. Please be considerate of neighboring homes and properties during your stay.



🔑 Entering the Home



The home offers convenient self check-in.



Your access information and check-in instructions will be provided through Airbnb before your arrival.



Please make sure the door is securely locked whenever you leave the property and when you check out.



🚗 Parking



There is plenty of space available for parking at the property.



Please use the driveway and designated parking areas and avoid parking on neighboring properties or blocking access areas.



🌳 Enjoying the Porch & Outdoors



One of our favorite parts of the property is the covered porch and surrounding outdoor space.



Feel free to sit outside, enjoy your morning coffee, have a meal outdoors, or simply relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.



Because this is Mississippi, mosquitoes, insects, and other little outdoor residents are naturally part of the environment, particularly during warmer months. Keeping exterior doors closed as much as possible helps prevent them from making their way inside.



🦟 Pest Prevention Inside the Home



Because we’re in Mississippi, insects are naturally common outdoors, especially during the warmer months. We take preventative measures to help keep outdoor bugs where they belong—outside.



You may notice small plug-in pest-repellent devices throughout the home. These are used as an additional pest-deterrent measure alongside our regular efforts to keep the home clean and comfortable.



Some of the devices have black tape covering their indicator lights. This is intentional so the small lights aren’t distracting at night.



Please leave these devices plugged in during your stay.



🍳 Kitchen



You’re welcome to use the kitchen during your stay.



Please clean up after cooking, wash or load used dishes, wipe down surfaces, and avoid leaving uncovered food out overnight.



Because of Mississippi’s warm climate, keeping food properly stored and cleaning up crumbs and spills promptly also helps us keep insects outside where they belong.

Please feel free to keep the home at a comfortable temperature during your stay.



When using the air conditioning or heat, please keep exterior doors and windows closed. This helps the system maintain a comfortable indoor temperature efficiently.



🌙 Quiet Hours & Our Neighbors



We want you to enjoy your stay—especially if you’re here for a game weekend! We simply ask that you remain considerate of the people living around the property.



Please keep outdoor noise at a respectful level, particularly during nighttime hours.



🗑️ Trash



Please place all trash securely inside trash bags and use the designated trash containers.



Please do not leave food or trash outside overnight, as it can attract insects and wildlife.



🏈 Mississippi State Game Weekends



If you’re visiting for a Mississippi State game, welcome to Bulldog country!



Starkville gets considerably busier on game weekends, so we recommend allowing extra travel time when heading toward campus and planning transportation, parking, and meals ahead of time.



Restaurants and stores can also get busy before and after games, so a little advance planning goes a long way.

🌲 What to Expect From the Setting



Our property is a genuine Mississippi country-style home rather than a luxury resort or newly built subdivision.



You can expect mature trees, large grassy areas, neighboring rural properties, plenty of outdoor space, and the natural sights and sounds that come with a Southern country setting.



Depending on the season, you may see birds, insects, and other wildlife outdoors.



That’s part of what we enjoy about the property: more space, less city noise, and a comfortable place to slow down and relax.
