Welcome to our Cape Blue Oceanfront Cottage.
Our seaside vacation home is part of a small oceanfront community situated in St. George's Bay, where the ocean temps reach the mid-20s in the summer. Located in Cape Jack, our home is only 2 hours from the Halifax airport and minutes to Cape Breton.
Our private lot is over 2 acres, and is home to beautiful shore and other birds including Blue Herons, Eagles and Sandpipers. Depending on the season, you'll see a family of seals play in the water in front of the property, and you may even see a school of porpoises or pilot whales swim by.
Our oceanfront post and beam home has 3 bedrooms and boasts an open concept main floor overlooking the ocean. There is lots of room to prepare wonderful meals, get cozy, or just sit back and listen to the waves and watch the most incredible sunsets. There are two bedrooms (1 king and 1 double) on the main floor and a large loft bedroom (1 queen) upstairs. In the loft, there is a a workout area with weights, bench, yoga matts, as well as a work area with two monitors and a printer.
Bring along your kayaks, paddleboard or canoe that you can launch right from our beach. There is an also a wharf and boat launch ten minutes away. Our beach is rocky so bring along your water shoes, or head over to Blue Rocks, our private community sand beach that is only a 2 minute drive or 10 minute walk away.
Only minutes to Cape Breton, you can find the most beautiful beaches, world class golf, the 97km Celtic Trail excellent for hiking and biking, and the famous Cabot Trail. During lobster season (May/June), we can arrange fresh lobster boils.
Beautiful beaches, hiking trails, golf, shopping, and restaurants only minutes away.
