A calm, uncluttered living room provides a comfortable place to slow down after time spent outdoors. The seating is gathered around a simple coffee table and television, while a large window brings daylight into the room and frames the trees immediately beyond. Panelled detailing adds architectural interest, and the overall simplicity suits a stay centred on peace, nature and time together. A fireplace adds warmth and atmosphere when the weather turns cooler. Ockelbo lies amid the forests and lakes of Gästrikland, where walking trails, cycling routes and quiet country roads make it easy to explore at an unhurried pace. Wildlife and birdlife are part of the surrounding landscape, while nearby lakes invite days beside the water. For a change of scene, visit Ockelbo itself, discover the gardens and cultural setting of Wij Trädgårdar, or simply head into the woodland for a restorative taste of the Swedish countryside.
