Escape to Forest Moon, a peaceful family retreat tucked among the towering hardwoods of Door County. Here, you can enjoy the quiet and privacy of a wooded setting while staying just minutes from downtown Egg Harbor, the shores of Lake Michigan, and many of the restaurants, shops, beaches, parks, and attractions that make Door County such a special place to visit. It’s the perfect home base for exploring the peninsula!

Designed with families in mind, Forest Moon offers three comfortable bedrooms, two full bathrooms, plus a dedicated bunk room where kids—and kids at heart—get a space of their own. The bunk room doubles as a game room, complete with a Star Wars pinball machine that’s perfect for a little friendly family competition after a day exploring the peninsula.

As parents of little ones, we understand the challenges of traveling with young kids. We want you to relax and truly enjoy your vacation while your kiddos stay happily entertained, so we provide a variety of indoor and outdoor games, along with family-friendly essentials like a high chair, baby gate, pack ’n play, sippy cups, children’s dish-ware, and more.

Outside, the wooded setting gives you room to slow down and enjoy the side of Door County that keeps families coming back year after year. And when the sun goes down, step outside and look up—the secluded setting and minimal surrounding light make Forest Moon a wonderful place for stargazing, spotting constellations, and catching the moon between the treetops.

Best of all, peaceful doesn’t mean remote. Restaurants, shops, beaches, wineries, orchards, and favorite Door County stops are all within easy reach.

At Forest Moon, you can spend the day exploring everything Door County has to offer, then come home to the woods, the stars, and a place designed for spending time together.
