Spend the winter on the water in Punta Gorda Isles. This single-level, three-bedroom, two-bath canal-front home has a heated, screened pool, a covered lanai and a private dock at the end of the lawn, and it is offered for one long stay this season: January 6 to March 17, 2027, with a 30-night minimum. We would rather host one household for all ten weeks than a string of short visits, so the full season is our preference.
EVERYTHING ON ONE FLOOR
A Florida ranch with no interior stairs, tile floors and ceiling fans through the living spaces, and central air and heat. The main living room opens to the dining table and out through sliders to the pool deck, so for most of January and February the two spaces work as one. A second sitting room at the back has its own TV and leather recliners facing the water, so two people can have two different evenings.
BUILT FOR A LONG STAY
The updated galley kitchen has stone counters, white cabinetry and full-size stainless appliances including a dishwasher, plus both a drip coffee maker and a Keurig. Ten weeks means real meals, not just takeout. A dedicated laundry room inside the house has a full-size washer and dryer and a utility sink. One bay of the two-car garage is kept clear for your car, with room on the paver drive for a second, and there is space for the bicycles, golf clubs and beach chairs that come with a season rather than a week.
WHERE YOU'LL SLEEP (SLEEPS 6)
Primary bedroom: king bed, quiet at the back of the house, with its own bath and a walk-in shower.
Bedroom 2: queen bed plus a twin-over-full bunk, so visiting grandchildren have real beds.
Bedroom 3: a daybed that pulls out to two twins. A reading room or study most days, and a room for two more when you need it.
Two full bathrooms.
POOL AND LANAI
The screen cage keeps the pool and deck usable into the evening without bugs, and the pool is heated for January and February. The covered lanai has an outdoor dining table, a separate seating group facing the canal and a gas grill. Beach chairs and towels are in the house for a day on the Gulf.
THE DOCK, FOR BOATERS
A concrete seawall and a 16-foot concrete dock with pilings sit directly behind the home, with 5 to 9 feet of water alongside depending on the tide. There is no boat lift, so a boat stays in the water at the dock. The route out to Charlotte Harbor passes under fixed bridges with roughly 11.5 to 13.5 feet of clearance, which suits a powerboat and rules out a sailboat with a standing mast.
