With it's warm wood interiors, cozy fireplace and large windows, the cabin blends rustic charm with modern comfort. Sleeps up to 11 with all the amenities you need to feel at home. Beautiful wooded neighborhood, dog-friendly, close to the forest for some fantastic hikes or snowshoe adventures. Close to the lake, ski resorts and the great areas of North Lake Tahoe.
Perfectly positioned in Carnelian Bay, North Lake Tahoe, the LOCATION of The Piney Wood Lodge offers the ideal balance of convenience and accessibility. You'll be just minutes away from great restaurants, shopping, entertainment, ski mountains and the beautiful beaches of Lake Tahoe. As your host, we let you in on the locals' favorites and secret paths to the beaches and hiking/biking trails.
Step inside to the LIVING ROOM with its soaring timber walls, rich natural wood, oversized windows, and beautifully appointed interiors, designed for comfort and sophistication. A grand STONE FIREPLACE creates a warm, inviting centerpiece for your family and friend gathering. There's a nice WORKSPACE in front of two windows that gives you a beautiful place to work or be creative. There's also a huge TV (Roku)...relax by the fireplace and watch your favorite movie.
The GAME ROOM is located on the upper level and includes a pool table, a foosball table, a 48" Smart TV and a gas stove, spacious desk/work area. The super comfy sofa and oversized chairs make for a great area to hang out, play games or watch a good movie! The armoire is full of board games for all ages!
The spacious KITCHEN is perfect for preparing memorable meals, and is equipped with everything you could need. There's basic spices, a KitchenAid mixer, basic blender, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, oven and stove top.
There are four BEDROOMS...three on the lower level and one on the upper level. LOWER LEVEL includes two bedrooms with one queen bed in each room and one bedroom with two twin beds. UPPER LEVEL incudes the Master Bedroom with one king bed (plus attached full bathroom with soaking tub). Three more small people may sleep on two futon mattresses in the Game Room.
The cabin features two-and-a-half beautifully appointed BATHROOMS with natural wood accents, stone surfaces and nice linens. One full bathroom is located on the lower level right next to the three bedrooms and includes a double sink vanity, private commode area with the shower. The second full bathroom is attached to the Master Bedroom and includes a double sink vanity, a soaking tub, and a private commode area with a shower. The half bath is located off the kitchen.
Relax on the spacious PATIO surrounded by pine trees and nature. There's seating for 10 people on the patio along with two Adirondack chairs for lounging in the sun, reading a book or taking a snooze. Prepare your meal using the large BBQ (propane provided).
FURRY FRIENDS WELCOME! Two pets maximum and there's an additional fee of $125 plus tax per pet. Please include the number of pets in the "Pets" field of the quotation window. If you care enough to bring your pet on your vacation in our home, then we know you've house-trained them! Our neighborhood, and the area in general, is very dog friendly! We do ask that you are diligent about cleaning up after your pet in the yard! PETS MAY NOT BE LEFT ALONE INSIDE THE HOUSE, UNLESS CRATED.
Please note: Per short-term rental guidelines, The Piney Wood Lodge may have a MAXIMUM OF 10 ADULTS, 13 years of age and above. There is no maximum on children age 12 and under, but we can only have 12 guests total. There is an additional charge of $25 per person plus tax over 10 people. WHEN BOOKING OR INQUIRING: The number of ADULTS you enter must include anyone 13 years of age and older.
WINTER STAYS: We provide plow service for the driveway. Guests must move their vehicles when plows are in the neighborhood so they can clear the snow. Snow shoveling and keeping paths clear will be part of your Tahoe experience. Please expect to shovel to keep paths clear to the front door, to bear box (for trash) and to the BBQ (even if you don't use it).
There is a Ring camera at the Front Door.
