Smarter Rent will ask for some additional guest details such as a copy of your ID & for you to sign a Smarter Rent Agreement (House Rules). This will be sent by a member of the team once your reservation has been confirmed, to make sure our service is what you expect. Over time we have created a few processes to ensure we can deliver a high service level and a great stay for every guest.
The Neighborhood:
Marlow is one of those places where it’s very easy to accidentally spend an entire afternoon wandering, eating and wondering whether you should move here. Sitting on the River Thames, the town has a lovely High Street packed with independent shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants, plus the rather photogenic Marlow Bridge spanning the river.
For some fresh air, head to Higginson Park, where you can picnic by the Thames, follow the Thames Path, let the children loose in the playground or simply watch the boats go by. You can also wander along the river to Marlow Lock, or hire a boat and experience Marlow from the water — captain’s hat entirely optional.
If you fancy stretching your legs properly, there are some beautiful riverside and countryside walks towards Bisham, Hurley, Cookham and the Chilterns. Back in town, there’s Marlow Museum for a little local history, while families can venture slightly further afield to Odds Farm Park. Between the river, countryside, great food and very tempting pubs, Marlow makes it remarkably easy to fill a day.
Getting Around:
Getting around from SL7 1TZ is nice and straightforward. Marlow Station is around 1.2 km away and has regular Great Western Railway services towards Maidenhead, where you can change for London Paddington, Reading and the Elizabeth line into central London.
For buses, Little Marlow Road and Wiltshire Road stops are very close by. Little Marlow Road Wiltshire Road Local services connect Marlow with surrounding towns including High Wycombe, Henley-on-Thames and Reading, with the 850 being particularly useful.
Marlow itself is also wonderfully walkable, so for trips into the town centre, down to the Thames or out for dinner, your own two feet may well be the easiest form of transport — especially when the journey home involves one of Marlow’s pubs!
