The Space:

Salty Air Coastal Cottage is a spacious and welcoming 4-bedroom home designed for relaxed family stays, coastal getaways and guests travelling with their small to medium-sized dog. With two separate living areas, generous indoor spaces and a peaceful outdoor deck overlooking the established garden, there’s plenty of room for everyone to spread out and unwind.

Sleeping up to 9 guests, the home is well suited to families and groups, with the added convenience of a travel cot (BYO cot linen) and high chair available for younger guests.



The fully equipped kitchen makes self-catering easy, with a coffee machine, full-size fridge, oven, cooktop, microwave and essential cookware, crockery, cutlery, glassware and kitchen necessities provided. A selection of start-up essentials is also supplied to help settle you in on arrival.



Enjoy the flexibility of two separate living spaces, ideal for larger families or groups wanting room to relax. The main lounge also features split-system air conditioning for year-round comfort.

Guest Access:

Guests will have access to the home and designated guest areas for the duration of their stay.



A single garage is available for guest use, along with driveway and street parking. Please park considerately and ensure neighbouring properties and driveways are not obstructed.



The Neighborhood:

Perfectly positioned between the coast and Lake Illawarra, this is a fantastic location for guests wanting to enjoy swimming, surfing, fishing, boating, kayaking, paddleboarding, cycling and relaxed walks along the water.



Lake Illawarra offers foreshore picnic areas, BBQ facilities, playgrounds, shared walking and cycling paths and plenty of places to fish or simply relax by the water. Reddall Reserve and the Lake Illawarra Art Trail are also nearby.



Windang Beach is located where Lake Illawarra meets the ocean and is popular for swimming, surfing, fishing and enjoying the coastal scenery. There are also foreshore parks, picnic facilities and walking and cycling areas nearby.



Explore Bass Point Reserve and nearby Bushrangers Bay for coastal walks, snorkelling and diving, or head south to Shellharbour Marina and The Waterfront precinct for cafés, restaurants, waterside dining and a stroll around the marina.

Getting Around:

A car is recommended for exploring the wider Shellharbour and Wollongong regions, with beaches, Lake Illawarra, shopping, dining and major local attractions all within an easy drive.



The surrounding lake and coastal areas are also ideal for walking and cycling, with shared pathways extending along sections of the Lake Illawarra foreshore.



Other Things to Note:

Pet Policy: A maximum of one small to medium-sized dog is permitted outdoors only in the fully secured outdoor space. Dogs must not be left unattended or alone at the property at any time. Guests are responsible for supervising their dog and cleaning up after their pet throughout the stay. No pet beds or bowls are provided.



Payment Terms:

We accept Visa and Mastercard only. A 25% deposit is payable at the time of booking confirmation, with the remaining 75% due 13 days prior to check-in. Please ensure sufficient funds are available, as fees may apply for declined transactions.



Any stays longer than 14 days will require additional cleaning, with an extra clean charged at each 14-day interval throughout the booking - a payment request will be issued upon booking any stay over 14 days.



Guests will receive a link to our online check-in form once the booking is confirmed. This form must be completed by the main guest prior to arrival.



Please be advised that we strictly enforce a no-noise, no-party policy. Our home is located in a quiet neighbourhood with permanent residents nearby; therefore, we are unable to accommodate “hens/bucks” events or “schoolies” bookings. The property is best suited to families or friends seeking a peaceful getaway.



Linen and bath towels are provided for all guests, and beds will be made prior to your arrival for your convenience. Please remember to bring your own beach towels.



All bookings are subject to the guest’s full compliance with the NSW Government Short-Term Rental Accommodation Code of Conduct for the duration of their stay.
