Welcome to our spacious five-bedroom Victorian home in a desirable residential area beside the lively Coleham neighbourhood and within easy walking distance of Shrewsbury’s historic town centre, shops, pubs and restaurants.

This is a large property and arranged over three floors. We can accommodate up to eight guests across six beds; the house offers plenty of room for families, groups of friends and colleagues working locally. Its generous living spaces allow everyone to spend time together while still having separate rooms to relax in.

At the heart of the home is a large open-plan kitchen and dining area, providing a sociable setting for cooking, sharing meals and planning the day ahead. The adjoining utility room includes an air fryer, washing machine, second dishwasher (the kitchen has another), and grill appliance, making the house particularly convenient for longer visits. A ground floor separate toilet is off the utility room.

There is also a separate dining room with a television, offering an additional space for meals, games or relaxed evenings together. The comfortable lounge provides another welcoming place to unwind after exploring Shrewsbury or finishing a day at work.

The bedrooms

The bedrooms are arranged across the upper two floors:

Bedroom 1 – super-king bed (spacious room)

Bedroom 3 – single bed (compact room)
Bedroom 4 – single bed (compact room)

Bedroom 5 – two double beds (spacious room with one bed in the eaves space) - with ensuite shower room.

The first four bedrooms are located on the first floor along with an elegant and roomy bathroom featuring a free-standing bath and enclosed shower cubicle.

The spacious fifth bedroom occupies the second floor and contains two double beds and with the great convenience of an ensuite shower room.

With six individual beds available, the house is also well suited to contractors and colleagues who would prefer more flexible sleeping arrangements.

2 is possible if the first car is a small car driven in diagonally to allow the second to park against the hedge.

The local area

The house is ideally positioned for enjoying both the convenience of a friendly local neighbourhood and everything central Shrewsbury has to offer. The Coleham area (of Shrewsbury) has a lovely community feel, with independent shops, traditional grocers, cafés and welcoming pubs all nearby.

Start the morning with coffee or breakfast at the family-run House Coffee Co., or take a 4 minute walk for a tasty lunch or dinner and drinks at The popular Coleham Tap, with its scenic riverside terrace.

In 75 metres, you are 'riverside' ! Walk just a few minutes down the road, along a footpath, and you're experiencing one of the beautiful attractions of Shrewsbury.

Also, Shrewsbury School is a prestigious independent boarding and day school which can be reached from this footpath - therefore, this property is a superb place to stay whilst your children are boarding at the school. The boat houses are also easily accessed from the house.

Take a stroll beside the river into the tree-lined Quarry Park, or cross Greyfriars Bridge into the heart of the town centre, where you will find Shrewsbury’s famous medieval streets, independent shops, cafés, bars and restaurants.

Popular attractions include The Quarry and Dingle gardens, Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery, Shrewsbury Castle and Shrewsbury Prison. You can also see the town from the water aboard the Sabrina Boat or simply wander through the historic centre and admire its timber-framed buildings.

Whether you are visiting for a family break, meeting friends, exploring Shropshire or working in the area, this spacious and conveniently located home makes an excellent base for your stay.

Guests will have use of the entire house, driveway and outdoor space at the rear of the property.

We request guests to be respectful. The property is located in a residential neighbourhood. And it our expectation that guests will be mindful of their noise (it is a semi-detached property) whether inside or outside the property at all times.

Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the property or out of windows.
Nor is the smoking of illegal substances.

We also expect guests to treat the property as their own and to keep it tidy, and be responsible for correct waste recycling and disposal in the correct bins provided. Details of this are in the property guest manual.

IMPORTANT: On behalf of our host at Pass the Keys, we require guest verification facilitated by Truvi (Previously called Superhog). Upon confirming your booking, Truvi will contact the lead booker via a secure link, providing detailed instructions for the verification process.

The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.

Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.
