Welcome to Arches at Sugar Mountain, a freshly renovated retreat on nearly four private acres with the Sugar Mountain Ski Shuttle stopping right at the corner of the property. I designed this home for big groups who want room to spread out - three separate living areas, five king bedrooms, a sauna and a hot tub waiting at the end of a long day on the mountain.

The Setting - Set back on nearly 4 private, flat and fenced acres, the home feels secluded and quiet, yet you're only minutes from everything Sugar Mountain has to offer. Year-round mountain views open up in every direction, and in winter, the ski shuttle stop at the corner of the property means no parking hassle on powder days.

The Layout - Sleeps 16. The lower level holds the primary king suite with its own ensuite bath, plus two more king bedrooms. Two additional king bedrooms are upstairs. Above the game room there's a loft with four single beds, great for kids and teens, and above the primary there's a movie room and lounge with a pull-out sofa that sleeps two. Every bedroom has a ceiling fan, a closet and hangers, and a smart TV.

The Kitchen & Living Spaces - I fully remodeled the kitchen top to bottom: granite countertops, a massive island, and stainless appliances built for cooking for a crowd. Seat everyone comfortably between the main dining table for 10, a second table for 6, and four seats at the island. The main living room has leather sofas, a propane fireplace, and mountain views; a second living area adds a wood-burning fireplace and more room to gather.

The Sauna & Hot Tub - Warm up in the sauna after a cold day on the slopes, then move out to the hot tub under the stars. It's the part of this house guests remember, and it's the reason a ski weekend here doesn't end when the lifts stop turning.

The Outdoors - Gather around the fire pit, fire up the gas grill on the expansive deck, or let the dogs loose in the flat, fenced backyard. There's a basketball hoop, a paved driveway with room for up to ten cars, and a garage.
Getting Here - You're on Sugar Mountain, with the ski shuttle at the corner of the property and Banner Elk and Beech Mountain just minutes away for dining and shopping. 4WD or chains are recommended in winter, and required by the Town of Sugar Mountain during snow or ice.

Good to Know - A doorbell-style camera covers the front entrance and driveway only - there are no cameras inside the home or on the decks. Dogs are welcome, up to four, 100 lb or under, for a pet fee. Every bathroom in the house has a shower rather than a tub. This is a private residence, so please treat it with care, and keep noise respectful of the neighbors.
