This house has about 800 years of history. It's located in the medieval village of Castelnuovo di Val di Cecina, nestled among narrow alleys and offering sweeping views of the valley. The lower level's carved directly into the mountain rock—a detail that lends the space a rustic, authentic, yet comfortable atmosphere.



We've carefully renovated the house. The style is rustic and authentic, with the lower level carved into the rock face, giving the interior spaces a unique character. You can move between the different levels and discover how the structure blends naturally with the bare rock.



The garden's the heart of the house. There's a terrace for breakfast in the sun, a summer terrace under the pergola, and a large gravel area with lounge chairs. You'll also find a hot tub that can be heated in winter and an outdoor shower, both in sheltered locations. From every corner of the garden, you can enjoy views of the lower village and the valley.



The surrounding area offers numerous nature trails that are especially beautiful in autumn and spring. You’ll find several restaurants in the village. You can organise day trips to Tuscan cities such as Florence, Siena, Volterra and San Gimignano. Nearby are also the Biancane with their volcanic fumaroles, as well as trips to the beach or to lakes suitable for swimming.
