The Space:

Welcome to Gold Leaf, a peaceful hinterland retreat where beautifully styled contemporary interiors meet expansive green grounds and an abundance of natural beauty. Tucked away amongst established trees in Ilkley, this three-bedroom home offers the perfect setting to unwind, reconnect with nature and enjoy quality time with family and friends.

Arrive via the gravel road before stepping through the front entrance into the heart of the home. The bright, open-plan kitchen and living area has been thoughtfully styled to create a comfortable and inviting space for guests to spend time together.

The modern kitchen features a generous island bench with seating for six, providing the perfect spot for casual breakfasts, morning coffees or chatting while meals are prepared. Alongside the kitchen, the living area features a comfortable L-shaped couch facing the TV, additional seating, air conditioning and a ceiling fan.

Large sliding glass doors connect the living area with the covered rear deck, allowing the indoors to flow effortlessly outside. The deck is set up for relaxed entertaining with a BBQ, an outdoor dining table seating eight and additional lounge seating, all overlooking the surrounding greenery and grounds.

Outside, the property offers plenty of opportunities to relax and reconnect with nature. Take a refreshing dip in the plunge pool, gather around the outdoor fire pit or enjoy a leisurely afternoon on the spacious covered deck overlooking the surrounding greenery. Beyond the home, expansive grassy grounds lead down to the tranquil private dam, where guests can enjoy swimming, fishing, canoeing and stand-up paddleboarding. Two SUPs and one canoe are provided for guest use, while a pontoon offers another peaceful spot to take in the waterside surroundings.

Closer to the home, a fire pit positioned just in front of the deck creates a cosy spot to gather outdoors, while the surrounding grounds offer plenty of space for children and four-legged guests to stretch their legs. Guests can also enjoy bushwalking through the natural surroundings to the right of the home, taking in the beautiful greenery and peaceful hinterland atmosphere.

Nature lovers will feel right at home, with an abundance of local birdlife and wildlife regularly visiting the property. Keep an eye out for the friendly resident birds, including the property's much-loved magpies, and enjoy the sounds of nature throughout your stay.

The home comfortably accommodates guests across three bedrooms:

Bedroom 1 (Primary Bedroom): King bed, air conditioning, ceiling fan, mirrored wardrobe and TV projector. Sliding glass doors open directly onto the rear deck, bringing the peaceful outdoor setting right to your doorstep.

Bathroom 1 (Ensuite): Privately adjoining the primary bedroom, the modern ensuite features a spacious walk-in shower, single vanity and toilet, providing a convenient private bathroom for guests staying in the primary suite.

Bedroom 2: Queen bed, air conditioning, ceiling fan, mirrored wardrobe and a cosy single armchair with a selection of books, creating a comfortable little reading nook. Sliding glass doors open onto the side deck, where two hanging hammocks offer another peaceful spot to relax amongst the greenery.

Bedroom 3: Two king single beds, TV, air conditioning and ceiling fan. Sliding glass doors also provide direct access to the side deck. A mirrored wardrobe leads through to additional walk-in storage, with children's books and plush toys available for younger guests.

Bathroom 2: A compact main bathroom featuring a walk-in shower and single vanity, offering a convenient space for guests during their stay.

Separate Toilet: An additional separate toilet is located near Bedroom 3, making it convenient for guests sharing the home.

Outdoor Toilet: A flushing toilet is also available on the flat grassy area near the dam, providing added convenience when enjoying the outdoor facilities.

Laundry facilities, including a washing machine and dryer, are conveniently located within the main living area.

Guest Access:

Guests have access to the entire home and designated surrounding outdoor areas, including the expansive grassy grounds, covered rear deck, side deck, plunge pool, fire pit, carport and private dam.

The dam and surrounding grassy areas are available for guests to enjoy, with swimming, fishing, canoeing and stand-up paddleboarding permitted. Guests are also welcome to explore the bushwalking areas to the right of the home.

Please note that the shed near the home remains locked and is not available for guest use. The upper section of the property, including the office shed and adjoining house pad area, is also private and will be clearly signposted.

When arriving at the property, guests will need to travel down Kyle Street before continuing along the gravel road to reach Gold Leaf. Directional signage will help guide guests towards the accommodation. We recommend driving carefully along the gravel section, particularly during or following wet weather.

The Neighborhood:

Set in the peaceful Sunshine Coast hinterland, Ilkley offers a quiet, leafy setting surrounded by natural scenery and open spaces. It's ideal for guests looking to escape the busier coastal areas and enjoy a little more peace and privacy, while still being well positioned to explore the wider Sunshine Coast.

Nearby Mooloolah Valley is approximately a 7-minute drive away, with an IGA, bakery, butcher, pharmacy, cafés and local shops for everyday essentials. The surrounding hinterland also offers plenty to explore, with Ewen Maddock Dam approximately a 16-minute drive away, along with scenic walking trails and the iconic Glass House Mountains within easy driving distance.

When you're ready for a day by the coast, Caloundra, Mooloolaba and Maroochydore are all accessible by car, making it easy to enjoy the Sunshine Coast's beaches, dining and attractions before returning to the tranquillity of your hinterland escape.

Getting Around:

Having a car is the most convenient way to explore Ilkley and the wider Sunshine Coast. The property is tucked away in a peaceful setting, with guests travelling down Kyle Street and along a gravel road to reach Gold Leaf.

Carport parking is available for guests during their stay.

Nearby Mooloolah Valley is just a short drive away for everyday essentials, while the surrounding hinterland, local attractions and Sunshine Coast beaches are best explored by car.

There are no local bus routes servicing the immediate area, so public transport options are limited. The closest public transport option is Mooloolah Train Station, approximately an 8-minute drive from the property, with rail services connecting to Brisbane and other destinations along the line. Taxi and rideshare services may also operate in the area, however availability can be limited due to the property's secluded location.

Other Things to Note:

*This property is dog-friendly, welcoming up to two dogs. A pet fee of $50 per dog applies, and bookings with more than one dog require prior approval. We kindly ask that dogs are supervised at all times and that the home and surrounding grounds are respected throughout your stay.

*The property features a private dam where guests are welcome to swim, fish, canoe and enjoy stand-up paddleboarding. Two SUPs and one canoe are available for guest use. Please note that life jackets are not provided, so guests must bring their own appropriately fitted life jackets if they intend to use the water equipment.

*For everyone's safety, children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times when near or in the water. We strongly recommend wearing life jackets when using the SUPs or canoe, avoiding water activities during poor weather conditions and never entering the water alone. All water activities are undertaken at guests' own risk.

*The property is home to an abundance of local wildlife and friendly resident birds, including magpies. Guests are encouraged to enjoy and respect the natural surroundings and observe wildlife from a safe distance.

*Please note that a business operates from a separate area at the top of the property, a considerable distance from the home and guest areas. The office shed is generally staffed Monday to Friday. This area is private and clearly signposted, while the guest accommodation remains tucked away from the business operations.

*The shed near the home is locked and unavailable for guest use. The carport remains available for guest parking.

*The property is accessed via a gravel road. Please drive carefully when arriving and departing, particularly during or following wet weather.

*The outdoor fire pit is available for guest use, subject to local fire restrictions, and must not be used during a fire ban.
