Step into a storybook mountain escape at Once Upon a Cabin Tahoe, a magical forest retreat nestled on 10 private acres in Pollock Pines, just moments from the scenic beauty of Lake Tahoe, Jenkinson Lake and the charm of Apple Hill.

The Gathering Places

Your story begins in the grand living and dining area, anchored by a magnificent 12-foot cobblestone wood-burning fireplace (with wood provided) where you can cozy up on chilly evenings. Towering windows frame breathtaking views of the surrounding pine and cedar tree canopy and the sprawling Eldorado National Forest. Gather around for family meals or relax in the warm, welcoming atmosphere with year-round heating, air conditioning, and smart thermostats to keep you comfortable in every season.

Upstairs, the open-concept Canopy View Loft acts as a magical lookout perched above the main floor. Surrounded by sturdy natural log railings, it features a cozy full-size wooden futon sofa, a large flat-screen TV, a traditional sled table, and two high-back cowhide chairs sitting atop a large cowhide rug. Kids and the young-at-heart will love the classic wooden rocking horse, bookshelf games, and a plush dog bed for your furry family members.

Just off the loft, The Timber Game Lounge transforms into the ultimate entertainment zone. Challenge friends and family to a game of pool or poker, or spend hours laughing over board games next to a dedicated children’s toy area and a large window looking out at the trees.

The Chef's Kitchen

Whipping up family feasts is a joy in the fully equipped kitchen featuring two gas range cooktops. To make cooking effortless, you’ll find an air fryer, three slow cookers, a food processor, and a classic KitchenAid mixer, ensuring you have everything you need to bake, roast, and create delicious memories. Enjoy a hot cup of coffee from the coffee and tea bar anytime, around the clock.
